We
can't believe it's already been a year! Thank
you to all of you for your on-going support
and enthusiasm!
The
arts are an essential part in the building of
any vibrant community. We believe Detroit presents
us with a unique opportunity to put our efforts
into creative endeavors that have true impact
on our environment.
After
five great exhibits, and a cool design event
in the summer, next year is promising to be
even busier for us with the addition of a new
exhibitions space and a new design store!
We
hope you can join us on December 5 at Re:View,
and December 4 in TechTown, to share all the
new exciting projects and additions to our gallery
space!

Re:View
Contemporary's special end-of-year group exhibit
featuring small works by 21 Detroit area artists,
with size
limit of 12”
x 12”
x 12”, including
painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
This
event also marks the celebration of the gallery’s
first year anniversary and opening of our new
extended spaces: a New
Exhibitions Gallery
(hosting the show Re:Collect), Commercial Gallery
(presenting works by artists represented by
the gallery), and a New
Design Store
(showcasing art and functional items by local
designers).
The
Opening Reception and end-of-year celebration
event will include food, drinks, and a special
cello performance by Diana Nucera (7
pm). Re:Collect runs from December
5 – December 24, 2009, and January 14
– January 30, 2010.

Preview of Re:View Contemporary's New
Design Store
Re:View
Contemporary Gallery and TechTown
are parternering to offer a one-night
event preview of works by artists and
designers who are part of Re:Design, Re:View
Contemporary Gallery's new Design Store,
opening at the gallery's Midtown location
in December.
Re:Design,
the Event, will take
place in a 10,000 sq ft raw space in the
TechOne Building Friday, December 4, 6
pm -10 pm, with a reception including
music, wine, and food.
A
special preview for TechTown staff and
residents will be held Thursday 10 am
– 1 pm. A
10% discount will be offered to TechTown
staff and residents on all purchases of
art work or design items.
